Recruitment

We’re recruiting!

Fallout: Lonestar is currently seeking individuals with game design aspirations or experience in the professional or mod community. It’s is a non-profit, proof-of-concept project designed to showcase talent.  In the industry, having a working game that showcases your talent and ability to work with a team is extremely valuable. Still, keep in mind, we’re not experts. There’s no crazed modding wunderkind behind the wheel. Individually, we’re all talented in our various fields, but this is a team project. Everyone is taking their talent and adding to the greater whole.

In brief, Fallout: Lonestar is a stand-alone title set in the Fallout universe, focusing on the former Texas Commonwealth. It will feature an original title character and will not be narratively connected to Fallout: New Vegas. This project would be an original title, set in the Fallout universe, but with the advantage of allowing us to design and implement completely original content.

The scale and density of the project, combined with its all volunteer team, requires as many contributors working on it as possible. Every position listed is likely to have multiple people filling that role at any given time.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING
Given the online medium through which the project is developed there is very little room for persistent follow-ups. Keeping track of things like availability, assignments, and deadlines slows down production by taking other members away from their own responsibilities. We have developed a system where artists can select available work as its needed, chose a deadline, and then submit that work when its completed. This allows for input and peer review without slowing down the development process.

Before applying, be certain you are comfortable requesting assignments and committing to reasonable deadlines, then email lonestar.positions@gmail.com or fill out the form below

Skill Level

Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in their discipline by submitting examples of their work. Applications without attached samples or links to online portfolios will not be considered.

POSITIONS

NOTE: Given the scale and volunteer nature of the project, we can use as many of every position as we can get. Overlap is a great thing for a project like this, and the more people involved the better.
